Partner Robert S. Sinsheimer focuses his practice at Denner Pellegrino, LLP, Counselors At Law, on complex civil litigation and criminal defense. Rob joined Denner Pellegrino, LLP after fifteen years of practice as the proprietor of Sinsheimer and Associates, a small litigation boutique.

The highest degree of personal service and unparalleled perseverance has always been the hallmark of Rob's practice of law. Rob's unique background allowed him to bring these qualities to an unusually broad array of litigation types and strategies.

Rob began his career as a prosecutor in the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office. He served in the Appellate Division and as a Superior Court trial attorney. He also was instrumental in establishing a unit for civil rights prosecutions and brought the first civil rights indictment ever in Plymouth County. After only three years, Rob was one of the youngest attorney's ever in the history of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to have twenty jury trials and over twenty oral arguments at the Appellate Courts. He earned a reputation for being both unusually aggressive, but fair and civil.

In 1984, Rob joined the Law firm of Gliman, McLaughlin and Hanrahan. As a senior associate he concentrated in personal injury, and white collar criminal matters. During that period, he was also introduced to business litigation. In 1987, Rob joined Dangel and Sherry a firm which concentrated in catastrophic products liability, and toxic torts. Rob developed expertise in products liability but continued to diversify his litigation practice, with continued focus on complex personal injury, civil rights and criminal defense.

In the early 1990's Rob's approach demonstrated that his experience as a no-hold barred trial lawyer created demand as a business litigator. At a time of business cost cut backs, business clients were looking for cost effective litigation options that provided the same levels of personal service they were used to receiving form larger organizations, without sacrificing quality. Rob soon developed a particular expertise in business divorces and real estate litigation.

In 2002, Rob defended an individual charged with 36 counts of mail fraud and mortgage fraud in Federal Court, in the Southern District of New York. After a seven week jury trial, his client was completely exonerated; a rare occurrence in high level federal prosecutions. Rob was also instrumental recently in obtaining a judgment and seven figure settlement for an individual beaten by Boston Police Officers.

Rob attended Brooks School, Dartmouth College where he majored in government, and Suffolk University Law School. In 1979, he won the prestigious Tom C. Clark Moot Court competition. He taught briefly at Suffolk University Law School before joining the District Attorney's Office.

Rob is currently an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School, teaching Massachusetts Civil Litigation Practice. He has also taught at Boston University School of Law. Rob has served as President of the Frank J. Murray Inn of Court, and organization of Judges and Lawyers devoted to enhancing and increasing civility in civil litigation. He is a member of The Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Association for Justice, the Frank J. Murray Inn of Court, and the Massachusetts' Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
