Gary was a law clerk for the Honorable David R. Hansen, Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit and for the Honorable Robert C. Chambers in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
Gary received an A.B. in History & Creative Writing from Brown University cum laude, a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School , and an LLM in criminal and constitutional law from New York University .
