Attorney Jeffrey A. Denner is a Founder and Partner of Denner Pellegrino, LLP, Counselors At Law. For over 30 years, Mr. Denner has concentrated his practice in the defense of complex, often high profile criminal cases on behalf of individuals and organizations throughout both the United States and internationally. He also involves himself in selected civil cases, particularly for individuals whose civil rights have been violated by the Government.
Mr. Denner's practice encompasses both trials and appeals in the state and federal court systems as well as before administrative (licensing, regulatory and disciplinary) boards and agencies. His legal representation commences at the investigative, pre-indictment/pre-charging stage and carries through to appeal, post-conviction, and parole/ pre-release, as applicable.
A graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School, Mr.Denner has been a partner in several larger Boston Law Firms during his approximately 35-year career. He and many of his cases have been profiled in local and national television shows, newspaper accounts, and magazine articles. He has also been a legal commentator for various local and national television shows. Mr. Denner is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the (federal) United States District Court for Massachusetts, the (federal) First Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Military Appeals, the United States Claims Court, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Supreme Court. He has also litigated cases in approximately 35-40 state and federal jurisdictions at the trial or appellate levels in the United States, as well as in Canada, Asia, Central America, and Western Europe.
Mr. Denner is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. He is a former clinical Teaching Fellow at the Harvard Law School. He truly has made a motto of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys - that "the Criminal Defense Lawyer is the last bastion of freedom in this country," into a central theme of his own practice and life.
